Improving Transparency and Strengthening the Astellas Brand Worldwide
Tokyo, May 31, 2017 - Astellas Pharma Inc. (President and CEO: Yoshihiko Hatanaka, “Astellas”) announced today the launch of a new global website.
In accordance with the company Disclosure Policy, Astellas is committed to the timely, proper and fair disclosure of information to all stakeholders including customers, shareholders and community, in addition to the engagement in active dialogue with the above parties. Through these activities, Astellas aims not only to further enhance the transparency of the corporation but also to strive to build and maintain a trust relationship with its stakeholders.
In accordance with the Disclosure Policy, the new global website has been established as a means of providing information to all stakeholders more in a proper and timely manner.
Astellas is now planning to build an integrated system platform to host all of the corporate websites for the subsidiaries in the Astellas group. This initiative will further enhance the reliability, safety and consistency of information disclosure. At the same time, Astellas is aiming to strengthen its information disclosure governance and this will help the Astellas group achieve an improved level of proper information disclosure. The launch of the new website is also important part of the Astellas group's efforts to encourage global awareness and understanding of the Astellas group, in other words part of the strategic work to develop a global brand. In order to promote understanding of the company, the website will be designed to make it easy to read, easy to use and easy to understand, and will feature content created in accordance with these goals. Through the launch of this new global website and also through the planned renewal of corporate websites for the operations of all of the Astellas group, the Astellas group will not only work towards the timely, proper and reliable disclosure of information that will also work to raise awareness and understanding of the Astellas group, as we try to develop into the best company of choice from various stakeholders.
