The Austrian Society for Transplantation, Transfusion and Genetics annually recognizes outstanding clinical and experimental research in the field of transplantation through several awards. In addition, grants and fellowships are provided to specifically support early-career researchers.
Astellas supports these research initiatives through the following awards:
The Young Investigator Award recognizes one outstanding experimental and one outstanding clinical research project in the field of transplantation. Astellas supports one of these two awards each year.
Transplant Connect is a mobility grant designed to support early-career physicians and strengthen collaboration between Austrian transplant centres. The programme focuses on the transfer of specialized knowledge as well as the development of professional skills and competencies.
