Astellas is fully committed to increased transparency within the pharmaceutical industry and to strengthening the public trust in the relationships between pharmaceutical companies and HCPs, HCOs and POs.
For Astellas Pharma Inc., which is a member company of the Japan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (JPMA), Astellas publishes relevant information on its external website annually in accordance with the JPMA Transparency Guidelines, which can be found at https://www.jpma.or.jp/basis/index.html, and related internal policies.
For Astellas affiliates that are members of the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA), Astellas publishes an affiliate specific disclosure report, methodological note, and assumption document (where applicable) annually.

Global Transparency & Privacy
Astellas is committed to transparency and strengthening public trust in relationships with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), Healthcare Organisations (HCOs) and Patient Organisations (POs). In line with applicable laws, regulations and industry codes, Astellas publicly discloses transfers of value (ToVs) and collaborations with HCPs and reports them to relevant authorities and industry associations where required.
Disclosure requirements vary by country and may include information such as recipient details, the nature and value of transfers, the legal basis for processing personal data, publication timing, and calculation methods. Depending on local requirements, disclosures are based on HCP consent, legal obligations, or Astellas’ legitimate interest in promoting transparency.
Transfers of value and related personal data are disclosed based on the applicable legal basis in the HCP’s country of practice, including consent, legal obligations, or Astellas’ legitimate interest in transparency. The applicable legal basis is detailed in the legal basis appendix.

In Japan, disclosures are published annually on Astellas’ corporate website, with data from the previous five fiscal years available. In EFPIA member countries, disclosed information is generally published for a minimum of three years and retained for at least five years, unless local rules require otherwise.
