Our approach to R&D

At Astellas, we are driving a pipeline of transformative therapies, focusing on new targets with cutting-edge modalities. Our R&D strategy is guided by a Focus Area Approach which combines a deep understanding of disease biology and the use of innovative technology platforms and versatile treatment modalities to tackle diseases with high unmet medical needs. This approach enables us to focus our resources on four Primary Focuses where we have strong, differentiated capabilities: Blindness and Regeneration, Genetic Regulation, Immuno-Oncology, and Targeted Protein Degradation.
