Christie Bloomquist, Vice President, Government Affairs and Policy
Christie Bloomquist is Vice President of Government Affairs and Policy at Astellas Pharma US where she leads the Government Affairs and Policy team including state and federal lobbyists, government communications and regional international affairs, and policy management and development. Among her responsibilities is developing, communicating and implementing Astellas’ federal and state government strategies, engagement activities and policy development across all functional areas.
Christie has more than 20 years of experience working to ensure access to medicines for patients across the US through robust government partnerships, delivering strong brand communications and driving employee engagement strategies.
Before joining Astellas, Christie held several roles at AstraZeneca including, most recently, Vice President of US Corporate Affairs. Prior to that, Christie spent several years as an attorney in private practice focused on the pharmaceutical industry.
Christie received her law degree and Master of Health Administration from Washington University in St. Louis. She has a B.A. in American Studies from Tulane University.
