Astellas Pharma Canada Named Again to the 2020 Great Place to Work®
List of Best Workplaces™ for Giving Back
This is the second year in a row Astellas has received the distinction that recognizes
employers who make a difference in their community.
MARKHAM, ON, August 25, 2020 - Astellas Pharma Canada, Inc. has been recognized again by the Great Place to Work® Institute on the 2020 List of Best Workplaces™ in Canada for Giving Back. The award recognizes employers across the country for building and fostering philanthropic cultures.

Astellas Pharma Canada maintains an active commitment to helping employees make a difference in the community through programs like Changing Tomorrow Day – the company’s annual day of service, and Be Stellar – an employee cause committee. The company also offers employees up to six paid days a year to volunteer in their communities.

To be eligible for this list, organizations must be Great Place to WorkCertified™ in the past year and at least 90% of employees must feel good about the way their company contributes to the community. Great Place to Work® determined the best organizations based the overall Corporate Social Responsibility Index score from employees as well as the range and quality of programs which encourages workplace social responsibility.
Astellas Pharma Canada earned the award after a thorough and independent evaluation of its culture and processes by Great Place to Work®. The List of Best Workplaces™ for Giving Back is based on direct feedback from employees of the hundreds of organizations that were surveyed by Great Place to Work®. The data has a 90% confidence and a plus or minus 5% margin of error.
In addition to being recognized by Great Place to Work® on the List of Best Workplaces™ for Giving Back in 2020, Astellas Pharma Canada has been named to the List of Best Workplaces™ in Canada and the List of Best Workplaces™ for Women for the past five consecutive years.
