Astellas Pharma Canada was established in 2005
Following the merger of Fujisawa Pharmaceutical and Yamanouchi Pharmaceuticals and ranks in the top 20 global pharmaceutical companies in sales. Fujisawa created the first Japanese pharmaceutical company in Canada by acquiring Lyphomed Canada in the early nineties and becoming Fujisawa Canada. Thanks to Yamanouchi’s rich product pipeline, Astellas Pharma Canada has introduced new products since the merger and looks forward to future growth in several therapeutic categories.
