Astellas supports the education and training of healthcare professionals (HCPs) worldwide, including the sharing of the latest scientific information presented at national and international congresses.
Eligible healthcare organizations (HCOs) may submit grant applications to support HCP registration at the congresses listed below. Should you wish to submit a grant application for a medical education event or other medical meeting not listed below, please consult the requirements on the application form.
A maximum of 10 HCPs can be funded through each grant request. The HCO is only eligible to receive grants for HCP congress attendance two times per fiscal year (April to March) per therapeutic area. Current therapeutic areas that MEA supports, will vary per country in the region and may include:
- Oncology
- Haematology
- Nephrology
- Urology
- Immunology (including Transplantation)
- Women’s health

A. Domestic Events
Grant funds are available for both virtual and in-person registration (with related travel/ accommodation expenses) for domestic (in-country, where HCPs are based) congresses.
B. International Events
Grant funds are available for both virtual and in-person registration only for international (out-of-country) congresses, unless the congress is taking place in the country where the HCPs are based, then domestic rules will apply. Refer to the list of approved congresses here.
