Compensation for wage levels

A healthy work environment is a diverse, equitable, and inclusive one – and continuing to build towards this is key to our success. Astellas’ rewards practices ensure recognition of our employees’ contribution to our mission and enterprise value as a company
– which includes our commitment to ensuring all employees earn a living wage above minimum wage level in the markets we operate.

Astellas annually surveys wedge levels, and ensures pay ranges and employee rewards are set above any minimum wage level in the markets we operate. We will continue our practices of providing competitive pay in the markets we operate, aiming to exceed a living market competitive wage to all.
 

Equal pay for work of equal value

Astellas’ rewards practices ensure recognition of our employees’ contribution to our mission and enterprise value as a company 

– which includes equal pay for equal value.

Astellas’ global practices dictate that employee selection and pay decisions are not influenced based on gender, providing equal opportunity of pay for all identified genders, in addition to other minority groups (e.g., race, sexual orientation, disability, etc.).
We will continue our practices of providing equal pay for equal work and experience, irrespective of gender, race, or other minority group consistent with our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion commitments as a global organization.

Astellas declared our support for the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) in 2011. We also joined the "Forward Faster"* initiative led by the UNGC in 2023 as an early mover.
