Tokyo, – August 1, 2013 – Astellas Pharma Inc. (TSE: 4503) announced today that it
has established its newest affiliate, Astellas Pharma Singapore Pte. Ltd. (“Astellas Singapore”), in Singapore.
Astellas Singapore will mainly commercialize Astellas’ global products through its own sales force in Singapore and supervise the sales of such products through a Contract Sales Organization (CSO) in Malaysia. Astellas Singapore will start its business in October 2013, and quickly build up its business capabilities in both Singapore and Malaysia.
With the establishment of Astellas Singapore, Astellas now owns ten sales affiliates in the Asia/Oceania region where the economy is growing rapidly, as well as sales affiliates throughout Europe/ the Middle and Near East/ Africa and the Americas.
