Tokyo, August 29, 2014 - Astellas Pharma Inc. (“Astellas”; TSE: 4503; Headquarters: Tokyo; President & CEO: Yoshihiko Hatanaka), today announced that it has pledged donations of 3 million yen to the Japanese Red Cross Society to support people affected by disasters due to heavy rains in Hiroshima Prefecture and other places in western Japan since early August, and to assist in reconstruction efforts.
Astellas would like to express our deepest sympathy to the victims, family and friends affected by these tragic events. We hope for the earliest possible recovery of the affected area.
