Medium-Term Plan (fiscal 2006 - fiscal 2010)


2010 Medium-Term Plan: Sustainable Growth, then Leap Forward.

We have formulated a five-year medium-term plan through fiscal 2010 which includes specific measures for realizing the goals elaborated in our "Vision 2015".
During the period covered by the current medium-term plan, we aim to realize a continued expansion in revenues and earnings, absorbing the impact of the expiration of substance patents in the U.S. market on Astellas' two major products-the immunosuppressant Prograf® and Harnal®, a treatment for the functional symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). In addition, we will steadily build a strong business bases for further growth from fiscal 2011 onward through proactive investment in research and development. Through actively investing in business growth and improving the level of returns to shareholders, we will also work to enhance capital efficiency and raise the Company's enterprise value.
